Congress workers celebrated as D.K. Shivakumar sworn in as the Chief Minister of Karnataka and his Cabinet colleagues, across Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts on Wednesday.

Mr. Shivakumar’s supporters and the Congress workers burst crackers and shouted slogans even as the swearing-in ceremony was telecast live at Kinnimulki in Udupi. They distributed sweets to the public and took out a procession in the city, holding the party flag.

Meanwhile, at Kadri in Mangaluru, the party workers celebrated the event by bursting crackers in front of the district Congress office and distributed sweets to the people in the locality.
