SC, ST and Minorities Welfare Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar, on Sunday, launched a sharp attack on BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao, challenging him to prove whether a single Gurukul building was constructed during the BRS government tenure.

While the previous government increased the number of Gurukuls, it failed to create adequate infrastructure, forcing many institutions to operate from rented premises, he said.

Defending the Congress government, the minister said the current administration has enhanced diet charges for students and is taking steps to improve facilities in residential educational institutions. He also criticised BRS leaders for claiming widespread implementation of the Dalit Bandhu scheme, alleging that only a limited number of beneficiaries received assistance.
