Chairman and Managing Director of the Singareni Colleries Company Limited (SCCL) Dr. Buddhaprakash Jyoti on Thursday reviewed coal transport and quality management systems during his visit to the Coal Handling Plant (CHP) in Ramagundam-II Area of Peddapalli district.

He arrived in Ramagundam late on Thursday afternoon on a two-day visit to review the entire gamut of activities related to coal production, dispatch, quality management, safety, planning and projects, among other aspects in the Ramagundam region of the SCCL, sources said.

The CMD also inspected the ongoing construction works of the new CHP and directed the officials concerned to complete the project within the stipulated timeline.

He also visited the Ramagundam Mines Rescue Station and various other departments of the SCCL in the Ramagundam region.

Meanwhile, the SCLC’s rescue team had won the first prize in the underground mines rescue category at the International Mines Rescue Competitions (IMRC) held in Zambia earlier this month.
