Cyberabad Police Commissioner inspects IIIT Junction flyover and underpass works in Gachibowli

Cyberabad Police Commissioner M. Ramesh on Tuesday inspected the ongoing road development and traffic infrastructure works at the IIIT Junction in Gachibowli, aimed at easing congestion in Hyderabad’s IT corridor.

During the visit, the official reviewed the progress of the multi-level flyovers and underpasses being constructed at the busy junction.

After assessing the prevailing traffic conditions around the junction, the Commissioner directed officials to implement suitable traffic diversions to minimise inconvenience to commuters during the construction phase.

He instructed authorities to focus on developing alternative routes and to take necessary steps to ensure smooth vehicular movement in the area.

The official also directed officials to install adequate signboards, barricades and lighting at important points near the construction zone. He further ordered the deployment of traffic personnel at critical locations to regulate movement and avoid congestion.

The Commissioner stressed the need for coordination among all departments to ensure that the infrastructure project is completed within the stipulated timeframe while giving top priority to public safety.

Cyberabad Traffic DCP Seshadri Reddy, Traffic ADC P Hanumantha Rao, officials from the CMC Engineering department were present during the inspection.
