The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heatwave warning for 16 districts in Telangana for Tuesday (May 26, 2026).
According to IMD’’ latest bulletin, heatwave conditions are very likely to prevail at isolated pockets in Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanumakonda, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla and Jangaon districts.
Additionally, warm night conditions are very likely to prevail at isolated pockets in Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Warangal, Hanumakonda, Rangareddy, Hyderabad and Medchal Malkajgiri districts.
Meanwhile, thunderstorms accompanied with gusty winds are very likely to occur at isolated places in Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Yadadri Bhuvangiri, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet and Jogulamba Gadwal districts.

Hyderabad and its surrounding areas for the next 24 hours will see a partly cloudy sky. “The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 43℃ and 30℃ respectively,” as per the bulletin.
