The Hindu Group’s campaign, ‘Written by Journalists’, has won the prestigious Black Elephant at the Kyoorius Marketing Awards, recognising it as the finest work of the year. This is the highest honour awarded to the single Best of Show entry across all disciplines and categories.

Crafted by Talented, the campaign celebrates the power, credibility, and craft of journalism, and highlights why stories written by journalists continue to matter in an evolving media landscape. The campaign also secured a Grey Elephant for Best in Discipline and a Concrete Elephant for excellence in strategy, effectiveness and execution, underscoring the campaign’s powerful storytelling, strategic depth and cultural relevance.

At the ABBY Awards, The Hindu Group emerged as the runner-up for Publisher of the Year and securing four medals — one Gold, two Silver and one Merit. Here too, The Hindu’s ‘Written By Journalists’ campaign won Gold for reinforcing the enduring value of journalism.

The Group also secured silver awards for Stub The Habit, created by Ogilvy, recognised for its impactful communication on tobacco awareness, and Kerala for All, a Brand Solutions project done along with Kerala Tourism to promote accessible and inclusive tourism. In addition, The Hindu Made of Chennai, a city celebration campaign earned a Merit recognition.

‘Strong collaboration’

Speaking on the achievements, L.V. Navaneeth, Chief Executive Officer of The Hindu Group, said, “We are delighted to be recognised at both the Kyoorius Marketing Awards and the ABBY Awards alongside some of the country’s most celebrated creative work.”

“These honours reflect the strong collaboration between our editorial and business teams, along with our agency partners, in creating impactful storytelling and meaningful brand experiences that truly connect with audiences. The recognition reaffirms our commitment to building ideas that are both creatively compelling and strategically effective,” he said.
