In an era dominated by constant notifications, endless scrolling, and shrinking attention spans, meaningful conversations have never been more important. Recognising the need to create spaces for dialogue, debate, and critical thinking among the youth, The Hindu is bringing its flagship youth engagement platform — The Hindu Huddle on Campus — to Khaja Bandanawaz University in Kalaburagi on May 26.

As a precursor to The Hindu Huddle, the acclaimed thought leadership conclave of The Hindu, the “Huddle on Campus” series is designed to engage young minds through powerful discussions on issues shaping society, education, politics, technology, and mental health.

The upcoming edition at Khaja Bandanawaz University will focus on the timely and relevant theme: “The Age of Distraction and Doomscrolling: Its Impact on Student Behaviour and Mental Health”.

The session aims to create an open floor for students to reflect on how digital overload, social media dependency, and the culture of constant consumption are influencing attention spans, emotional wellbeing, productivity, and social interactions. The event will bring together experts, thought leaders, academicians, and students for an engaging exchange of ideas and perspectives.

The conversations will also serve as a gateway to the two-day The Hindu Huddle conclave scheduled in Bengaluru on June 5 and 6. Outstanding and highly engaging students from the campus edition will get an opportunity to showcase their ideas, perspectives, and talent at the main Huddle platform alongside some of the country’s leading thinkers, policymakers, and industry leaders

The initiative is presented by Sami-Sabinsa Group as the presenting partner. The event is co-powered by the Telangana government and held In association with Khaja Bandanawaz University.

The event is further supported by: Larsen & Toubro – associate partner; Apollo Hospitals – associate partner; IIM Sirmaur – associate partner; TAFE – associate partner; Wizzmoni – associate partner; Casagrand – realty partner; Amity University Bengaluru – university partner; Harrow International School Bengaluru – education partner; Meghalaya Tourism – State partner; NDTV 24×7 – TV partner
