AIADMK leader Edappadi Palaniswami criticises unscheduled power cuts across Tamil Nadu

AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami, on Sunday (May 24, 2026), criticised incidents of unscheduled power cuts in various places across Tamil Nadu and urged the TVK-led government to take steps on war footing to resolve the issue.

Mr. Palaniswami, in a statement, contended normal life was affected due to unscheduled power cuts and people had to spend sleepless nights. He also referred to media reports about power cuts in various parts of Chennai for two consecutive days.

“Normal life of the people and the MSME sector and industries are affected due to the unscheduled power cuts. They are set to suffer economic setbacks,” Mr. Palaniswami contended.
