VIT-A.P. University celebrates ninth anniversary at Amaravati campus

HCLTech, Chennai, Head of Campus Relations Director Prasath P. on Thursday (May 21, 2026) highlighted the need for industry-academia collaboration.

Speaking at the 9th University Day celebrations at VIT-A.P. University in Amaravati, Mr. Prasath appreciated the University’s contribution to higher education and innovation, stating that its efforts towards research, entrepreneurship, and community service were commendable. “Institutions like VIT-A.P. University are creating an ecosystem that bridges academic learning with industry expectations. Students graduating from such environments are well-prepared for the evolving global workforce,” he said.

Students across various categories were honoured for their outstanding achievements. These awards included Best Outgoing Students Award, Student Merit Awards – 2026, Faculty and Staff Excellence Awards, Best Clubs and Chapters Awards, Sports Excellence Achievement Awards and Special Recognition Award – Student.

The University also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) CID, A.P. Police, copies of which were formally exchanged between the DGP-CID Dr. Ravi Shankar Ayyanar and Vice-Chancellor of VIT-A.P. University Arulmozhivarman in the presence of Chancellor, VIT University, G. Viswanathan.

Prosthetic legs developed by VIT-A.P. University, in collaboration with Buimerc India Foundation, were also distributed among those in need of them.

Chancellor G. Viswanathan congratulated the recipients of awards and reflected on the University’s vision. He said, “The 9th University Day is a celebration of dedication, perseverance, and collective achievement.”

Vice President, VIT Group, G.V. Selvam emphasised the institution’s student-centric vision and commitment to excellence.

Vice Chancellor, VIT-A.P. University, P. Arulmozhivarman presented the annual report on developments and achievements of the university.

Registrar M. Jagadish Chandra, Deputy Director Student Welfare of VIT-A.P. Khadeer Pasha, faculty members, students, staff, industry leaders and others were present on the occasion.
