Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed the officials and elected representatives of erstwhile united Mahbubnagar district to actively take part in completing works relating to land acquisition for the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme (PRLIS) on a war footing.

Steps should be initiated to ensure that acquisition of land for other projects envisaged in the district are completed expeditiously. The State Government is committed to ensure that compensation for the acquired land is released without any delay, he said.

The Chief Minister convened a meeting of the Ministers and MLAs of Mahbubnagar district on Tuesday to review the status of the ongoing projects. The government was prepared to clear the pending dues pertaining to other projects that were in different stages of progress in the district. The district Ministers were instructed to conduct review meetings with officials on a monthly basis to assess the status of the projects.
