The Krishna district police on Saturday (May 16, 2026) arrested one person for allegedly stealing electric motors installed at Aqua ponds.
The accused, identified as G. Srinivas Rao, committed the theft at the aqua ponds located in the villages of Gundupalem, Kona, and Tummalapalem in Machilipatnam mandal, said Krishna District Superintendent of Police V. Vidyasagar Naidu.
Police seized 13 electric motors, said Machilipatnam Deputy Superintendent of Police G. Srinivas Rao. The accused was produced in court, which remanded him to judicial custody.
