Hospital hosts meeting on robotic-assisted joint replacement surgery

Yashoda Hospitals Hyderabad on Saturday inaugurated a two-day national scientific conference and live workshop, ‘Deccan Arthroplasty Summit 2026’, bringing together more than 500 orthopaedic surgeons, joint replacement specialists, postgraduate medical students, healthcare professionals and delegates from across the country.

The meeting focused on advancements in robotic-assisted joint replacement surgery, complex trauma management, sports medicine and arthroplasty. According to the organisers, the conference aims to create awareness and provide knowledge on emerging technologies, advanced surgical techniques and best practices in orthopaedic patient care.

The event was inaugurated by Dr. Pavan Gorukanti, Director, Yashoda Hospitals. He said the conference offered a platform for experienced surgeons, young orthopaedic specialists and healthcare professionals to exchange knowledge on advanced joint replacement procedures and modern treatment techniques.

Dr. T. Jayakrishna Reddy, senior orthopedic and Joint Replacement Surgeon at Yashoda Hospitals, Secunderabad, said the meeting focused on providing doctors with practical understanding through case-based learning and live surgical demonstrations. Discussions during the conference included the latest developments in knee and hip replacement surgeries, patient safety, rehabilitation protocols and surgical outcomes.
