The SSLC results will be declared on Friday afternoon.

Sharmila Mary Joseph, Principal Secretary, General Education will declare the results at 3 p.m. Director of General Education N.S.K. Umesh and other senior officials will be present on the occasion.

Uncertainty over the Congress’ Chief Minister candidate and delay in government formation had put a question mark over the result declaration since it is the Minister concerned who traditionally announces the result, though there have been exemptions, the latest being in 2019 when the then General Education Secretary A. Shajahan had announced the results instead of the then Minister A. Raveendranath since the model code of conduct was in place.

Teachers’ organisations too had demanded that the results be announced as per the previously announced schedule.

Though officials had been indicating that a change in the date was unlikely since there was no communication indicating otherwise, the DGE confirmed on Wednesday that the results would be announced as scheduled on Friday.

The results needed to be declared without any delay since Plus One higher secondary admissions had to completed in time for classes to get under way once schools reopened, the DGE said.

The Kerala Board of Public Examinations met here on Wednesday afternoon to discuss the SSLC results and finalise it for publication.

Next, the result data book will be prepared and printed in time for the declaration on Friday.

Meanwhile, the Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE) has made arrangements for viewing and analysing SSLC, higher secondary, and vocational higher secondary examination results.

Results can be checked on the cloud-based portal www.results.kite.kerala.gov.in and the mobile app Saphalam KITE soon after these are announced.

The updated app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store.

Besides individual results, analysis on the basis of school, education district, revenue district, and subjects will be also be available on the portal and mobile app.

A new feature allows sharing of results as images or pdfs through social media, a KITE statement here said.
