The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has secured the extradition of a fugitive from Azerbaijan to India. He was wanted by the Delhi Police for his alleged involvement in drug trafficking.

The accused has been identified as Prabhdeep Singh. At the request of the Delhi Police, the CBI had an Interpol Red Notice published against him.

“After the subject was geo-located and arrested by the Azerbaijan authorities, an extradition request was sent to them. Following due legal process, the subject was successfully extradited to India,” the agency said.

A three-member Delhi Police escort team visited Baku, Azerbaijan, and brought him back on Wednesday (May 13, 2026).
