Palnadu police bag top CEIR award for recovering lost mobile phones

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) presented Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) Awards to the police units of Palnadu, NTR and Eluru districts for securing the top three positions in recovering missing or lost mobile phones.

DoT Deputy Director General (DDG) Hemant Rathwe (Security), and Director General of Police (DGP) Harish Kumar Gupta presented the awards to Palnadu district Superintendent of Police (SP) B. Krishna Rao, NTR Police Commissioner S.V. Rajasekhar Babu and Eluru district SP K. Pratap Shiva Kishore at Mangalagiri on Saturday.

Palnadu district police secured the first position by recovering 4,303 (69.75%) lost mobile phones, while the NTR Commissionerate stood second with the recovery of 2,929 (64%) phones. Eluru district police secured the third position by recovering 2,796 (62.18%) phones using the CEIR platform.

Additional Director General of Police (ADGP-Law and Order) N. Madhusudhan Reddy, Inspector General of Police (IGP-Operations) Ch. Srikanth, DoT Director (Security) K. Ram Manohar, and other officials were present.
