Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK) general secretary T.T.V. Dhinakaran on Saturday (May 9, 2026) asked the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) to make public the original version of a letter of support, purportedly signed by his party colleague and Mannargudi legislator S. Kamaraj, for the fledgling party.
Addressing a press conference, Mr. Dhinakaran reiterated that the letter in question and a video clip, displaying Mr. Kamaraj appending his signature on the letter, were all “forged” and that it was quite possible that the visual might have been produced using AI. He held TVK founder C. Joseph Vijay responsible for the episode.
Late on Friday (May 8) night, Mr. Dhinakaran accused the TVK of submitting to the Governor, a photocopy of the “forged letter”, claiming it has the support of his party’s lone MLA-elect, Mr. Kamaraj.
