A woman was killed and several others were injured in a road accident involving multiple vehicles at Kowdiar in Kerala capital on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Noushika, 24, a native of Palakkad. She was confirmed dead after being rushed to a private hospital in the city. Her husband, Aashiq, also sustained injuries in the incident.

The accident occurred around 10.30 a.m. The couple was walking on the footpath when a speeding car reportedly lost control, veered onto the pavement and crashed into three other cars and two two-wheelers, according to eyewitnesses.

Preliminary reports indicate that at least seven people were injured in the collision.

Further information is awaited.
