Discom chief reviews power services, solar rollout

AP Central Power Distribution Company Limited (CPDCL) CMD P. Pulla Reddy held a review meeting on Wednesday and took stock of feeder-level solarisation, installation of solar rooftop systems for Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) consumers, and implementation of PM Surya Ghar scheme. . 

Addressing officials, Mr. Pulla Reddy ordered that emphasis be laid on rendering services to consumers expeditiously and achieving 100% revenue collection. He said that should be taken to resolve low – voltage issues and there should be continuous monitoring of feeders to prevent breakdowns. He also sought for the billing process to be completed on time and that the substations construction works to be carried out at a brisk pace. 

Mr. Pulla Reddy instructed officials to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the summer months to avoid inconvenience to the public. He suggested expanding the WhatsApp Governance services to enhance accessibility and noted that, according to a public opinion survey based on three key questions, CPDCL received a 78.10% positive response. 

He called for efforts to raise the statisfaction level beyond 90%, and instructed officials to focus on Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme works. CPDCL Directors Muralikrishna Yadav (technical), T.V.S.N. Murthy (projects) and Venkateswarlu (finance) along with other senior officials participated.
