An eight-year-old boy was among the two persons missing after a boat capsized in the Mahi River in Rajasthan’s Banswara district on Tuesday (May 5, 2026). The accident occurred near Bhaisau village under the Arthuna police station limits when the boat overturned after going out of control.

The boat, carrying about a dozen persons, sank nearly 200m away from the riverbank. Most of the people travelling in the boat swam to safety, while Jayesh, 21, and Manav, 8, went missing.
