With Bengal poll verdict, ‘lotus’ is blooming from Gangotri to Gangasagar: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday (May 4, 2026) said the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has formed governments in more than 20 States and that with the West Bengal election verdict, the “‘lotus’ is blooming from Gangotri to Gangasagar”.

The address comes after a big day for the BJP politically, especially with its victory in West Bengal, Assam and Puducherry on Monday (May 4, 2026). The party also won three Assembly seats in Kerala.
