Telangana scorches as Mendora in Nizamabad hits 46℃; most districts record temperatures above 43℃

Temperatures across Telangana surged sharply on May 2, with one location touching 46℃ mark and as many a total of 10 districts recording maximum temperatures above 45℃.

According to data from Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS), Mendora in Nizamabad was the hottest location in the state with a maximum temperature of 46.℃ This was followed by 45.9℃ in Anumula Haliya (Nalgonda), Khanapur (Nirmal), Thoguta (Siddipet), 45.8℃ in Adilabad (Adilabad), Kamanpur (Peddapalli), 45.7℃ in Banswada (Kamareddy), Tiryani (Kumaram Bheem Asifabad), 45.6℃ in Mallapur (Jagtial), Konijerla (Khammam), 45.5℃ in Garidepalle (Suryapet) and 45.1℃ in Bheemaram (Mancherial).
