In the admission season for the current academic year, enrollment data from private colleges in Bengaluru indicates a strong preference for specialised, industry-oriented programmes over traditional degrees. Commerce remains the most sought-after stream, particularly courses integrated with data analytics and finance.

At Mount Carmel College (MCC), the highest application volumes were recorded for B.Com in Strategic Finance, Business Analytics, and International Accounts. Regina Suganthi, registrar (Admissions), noted that within the School of Science, B.C.A. programmes specialising in AI, Machine Learning, and Cybersecurity saw peak demand.
