State government’s primary objective is to achieve comprehensive development in the districts through the augmentation of groundwater levels, agricultural growth, and active public participation, said B.C. Janardhan Reddy, Minister for Roads and Buildings.

The Minister, along with district Collector Rajakumari Ganiya, launched desilting operations at the Hanumanthunigundam tank in Kolimigundla mandal on Saturday (May 2, 2026). Speaking on the occasion, he said that the government is striving to raise groundwater levels by at least three metres through the ‘Jaladhara – Jalaharathi’ programme.
