Farmers from Batla Chandraram village in Vikarabad district have voiced opposition to the Telangana government’s proposal to acquire their lands for the construction of an Industrial Park.
The proposal affects around 93 farmers who depend on 235 acres of land for cultivation and livelihood. The farmers fear displacement and unemployment, drawing parallels to earlier acquisitions for the Pollepally SEZ and Zaheerabad NIMZ, where they allege many families were left without proper compensation or rehabilitation.
