Congress leader booked under POCSO for assault on minor children

According to the complaint, Anand Naidu was allegedly in an illicit relationship with the complainant’s wife for the past three years. The complainant further alleged that Naidu assaulted his minor children when they questioned the relationship.

The Mahalakshmi Layout police have registered a case against a Congress leader from the Mahalakshmi Layout Assembly constituency for allegedly assaulting minor children.

The accused has been identified as Anand Naidu, general secretary of the Bengaluru North District Congress Committee (DCC). Based on a complaint filed by a man at Annapoorneshwari Nagar Police Station, Naidu has been booked under relevant sections, including provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
