Soft release centre for wild elephants will be active in six months, says Krishna Byre Gowda

Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda, who is also the in-charge Minister of Hassan district, has said that the soft release centre for elephants will start functioning in six months and the elephants that cause trouble in human habitats will be rehabilitated at the centre in a phased manner.

Mr. Gowda spoke to the media after holding a meeting with the officers of the Forest Department in Hassan on Tuesday (April 28).
