Thousands of domestic liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) consumers across Telangana who have not completed e-kyc process are facing challenges in accessing cooking gas refills.

The difficulties range from delays in getting refills to supplies put on hold by the Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs). The OMCs had issued an advisory some months ago advising consumers to complete e-kyc to continue availing subsidy in their bank accounts, if eligible. However, the eKYC enforcement has assumed significance against the backdrop of the fallout of the war in West Asia on LPG supplies.
