T.N. records lowest increase in votes polled during Assembly elections over the last 15 years

The rate of rise in votes polled during the Assembly polls over the previous election (2021) marks the lowest in the last 15 years, despite Tamil Nadu registering a record turnout in terms of percentage.

The figure of the rise is about 5.5%, whereas it was 6.22% in 2021; 18.5% in 2016; and 11.4% in 2011.
