A wheelchair-bound differently abled man demonstrated the strength of his democratic spirit by arriving at a Sivaganga polling station, accompanied by his father, on Thursday.

R. Jayaraman, 27, who is completely dependent on others for his daily needs, uses his actions and gestures as his primary language to communicate. His father E. Ramanathan acted as an interpreter at the booth, helping his son understand the process and interact with the polling officials.
