Samridhi@Kochi, a budget eatery run jointly by the Kochi Corporation and the Ernakulam district mission of Kudumbashree in Kerala, continues to be at the centre of a tug of war between the United Democratic Front (UDF)-led governing committee of the Corporation and the Opposition Left Democratic Front (LDF) in the civic body.

The latest salvo has come in the form of a Facebook post by LDF parliamentary party leader V.A. Sreejith, who shared a video claiming that it showed food being transported from Samridhi’s kitchen at Ernakulam North to the Indira Canteen alongside the Edappally zonal office of the Corporation, alleging how the latter was “thriving at Samridhi’s expense.”
