Members of the All India Democratic Students’ Organisation (AIDSO), along with the Public Education Protection Committee, staged protests in Kalaburagi and Hosapete on April 23 opposing what they termed as the ‘imposition of English medium’ in government primary schools under the bilingual policy of Karnataka.

In Kalaburagi, protesters gathered at SVP Circle and criticised the government’s decision to introduce English medium from class 1 in thousands of government schools.
