Two robots greeted voters at polling booths in the Gudiyatham and Vellore Assembly constituencies in Vellore district on polling day on Thursday (April 23, 2026), adding a tech-driven touch as citizens turned up to exercise their franchise.

As voters queued up to cast their ballot at Government Municipal Higher Secondary School in Gudiyatham town in Vellore district, they were welcomed in Tamil by a saree-clad robot.
