The AIADMK-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Tamil Nadu is hoping to succeed in its third attempt at the hustings, having failed in the 2019 Lok Sabha and 2021 Assembly elections. In 2019, the NDA won only one Lok Sabha constituency (Theni). Two years later, it secured 75 seats, losing power to the DMK after ruling the State for 10 consecutive years.

Almost nine months after the AIADMK and the BJP revived their ties, the PMK was back in the NDA in January this year. Later that month, a dramatic development unfolded: the Amma Makkal Munnetra  Kazhagam (AMMK), led by T.T.V. Dhinakaran, patched up with the  AIADMK and became a constituent of the NDA again. Smaller parties such as the Tamil Maanila Congress (Moopanar), the Indhiya  Jananayaga Katchi, the Tamizhaga Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam, the New Justice Party, and the Puratchi Bharatham are the other members of the NDA.
