A special court of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in Jammu on Saturday (April 18, 2026) granted a 10-day remand of the banned Democratic Freedom Party chief Shabir Shah, 72, to the investigating agency, three weeks after the Supreme Court granted him a bail in another case.
Mr. Shah, who was arrested in Delhi on Friday, was produced before a Special NIA judge in Jammu, and the court, after hearing the submissions, granted the 10-day remand to question the separatist leader in a three-decade-old case.
