The Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC), a centre of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), to cut deaths from lightning strikes in rural areas of the State.

APSDMA Managing Director Prakhar Jain and N. Aparna, Deputy Director of the NRSC, signed the MoU at the APSDMA office on Wednesday (April 15, 2026).
