Former national president of the BJP and Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare J.P. Nadda on Tuesday (April 14, 2026) alleged that the DMK government had converted Tamil Nadu, a cradle of the world’s oldest civilisation, into a “crime capital.”

Releasing the BJP’s election manifesto for the upcoming Assembly election in Tamil Nadu, where the party is contesting as a constituent of the AIADMK-led National Democratic Alliance, Mr. Nadda said every Indian is proud of Tamil Nadu.
