The elections to three municipal corporations of Ambala, Panchkula and Sonipat, a municipal council and three municipal committees, along with by-elections to six wards to different municipal bodies, in Haryana would be held on May 10, announced the State Election Commission on Monday (April 13, 2026).

The counting of votes would be taken up on May 13, said State Election Commissioner Devinder Singh Kalyan, at a press conference in Panchkula, announcing the detailed schedule for the elections to the civic bodies.

Besides the Mayors and ward members to three Municipal Corporations, the election will be held for the presidents and ward members of Rewari municipal council and the municipal committees of Dharuhera (Rewari), Sampla (Rohtak) and Uklana (Hisar). A total of 144 wards in these municipal bodies will go to polls.
