The upcoming Assembly election is not a battle between Tamil Nadu and Delhi, as portrayed by DMK president and Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, but a battle between the people of the State, particularly women, and the DMK, senior BJP leader and NDA’s Mylapore candidate Tamilisai Soundararajan said on Friday (April 10, 2026).

Amid her door-to-door election campaign at Mandaveli, Dr. Tamilisai shared her views to The Hindu on delimitation, issues in Mylapore, and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president C. Joseph Vijay’s political entry. Edited excerpts:
