Congress leader and Ernakulam MP Hibi Eden on Saturday (April 11) slammed Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders P.C. George and Shone George, accusing them of taking up a “contract” from their party to create divisions between Christians and Muslims.
Mr. Eden made a scathing attack on the father-son duo, a day after they hit out at the Catholic Church, alleging that a section of the clergy and the Deepika daily, the mouthpiece of the Church, worked against the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the Assembly elections. Both Mr. George and his son were NDA candidates from Poonjar and Pala, respectively.
