A total of 14 passengers were injured after a private bus travelling from Hyderabad to Eluru rammed into the rear of a lorry on the Gudibanda flyover near Kodad in Suryapet district in the early hours of Saturday (April 11, 2026).

The accident was reported between 4.45 a.m. and 4.50 a.m. on National Highway 65. The Intercity bus, which had departed from Hyderabad around 4 a.m., had 46 passengers at the time of the collision. Police said the lorry was travelling towards Vijayawada when the bus crashed into it from rear.
