In two separate cases, courts in Hyderabad and Rangareddy district have convicted accused persons in POCSO cases, awarding a life sentence in one and 22-year rigorous imprisonment in another, while also granting compensation to the victims.

In the first case, the Fast Track Special Court for expeditious trial of rape and POCSO cases at L.B. Nagar sentenced 23-year-old Mohammad Akram, a resident of Hasan Nagar in Rajendranagar, to life imprisonment. He was also fined ₹13,000, and the court awarded ₹4 lakh as compensation to the victim.
