After years of delay, work on preparing the Revised Master Plan–2041 (RMP) for Bengaluru is finally gathering momentum, with the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) floating tenders on Thursday.

However, the exercise for the BDA will be limited, as the work has been shared between the BDA and the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA). According to the tender notification, the BDA has called tenders to plan areas under its jurisdiction, which lie on the city periphery and span over 450 sq. km. For the remaining 710 sq. km, the GBA will prepare the master plan.
