Mysuru division of South Western Railways (SWR) has recorded exceptional performance during the financial year 2025–26, achieving several milestones across passenger, freight, and non-fare revenue segments.

The division registered its highest-ever passenger revenue of ₹449.13 crore, surpassing the previous record of ₹419.89 crore. Ticket checking earnings reached an all-time high of ₹9.75 crore, exceeding both the previous best and the annual target.

In the non-fare revenue streams, significant growth was observed with the division earning record earnings in commercial publicity (₹3.17 crore), parking (₹4.02 crore), and catering (₹2.61 crore), all surpassing previous financial year figures.

On the freight front, the division recorded its second-highest freight revenue of ₹900.19 crore. Automobile loading reached a historic high with 116 rakes, generating ₹23.94 crore. Additionally, the division achieved the second-highest iron ore loading of 8.665 million tonnes.

Parcel earnings performed strongly, with total revenue reaching ₹11.81 crore, while the earnings from SLR (Seating cum Luggage Rake) and VPH (High Capacity Parcel Van) leasing stood at ₹5.85 crore, which is the highest-ever.

In passenger service initiative, the Non-Rail Head PRS facility at Kuvempunagar, Mysuru, became the first in Indian Railways to operate Advanced Passenger Operating System (APOS) PRS via static IP, enabling seamless digital and cashless ticket booking.

Safety and vigilance measures were intensified. Extensive checks at stations, parcel offices, and pantry cars across the division detected no inflammable or prohibited items. Special joint drives against illegal activities reported zero cases. Fortress checks conducted at Davangere and Arsikere resulted in the realisation of fines.

Operationally, two Election Special trains were run, generating substantial coaching revenue.

The division also progressed in commercial development through award of multiple contracts for catering, parking, parcel leasing, and passenger amenities, including sleeping pods.

Further, several tenders and e-auctions were floated and finalised to enhance passenger facilities and revenue generation.
