LB Nagar ASI caught taking ₹15,000 bribe on court premises

An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of the Chaitanyapuri Police Station was arrested by the Anti Corruption Bureau while accepting a bribe of ₹15,000 to compromise a criminal case during Lok Adalat proceedings.

The accused officer, P. Balaiah, was apprehended on the Rangareddy District Court premises while on duty. According to ACB officials, he demanded the bribe from an accused in return for facilitating a settlement of the case at the Lok Adalat between the complainant and the accused.
