YSRCP office-bearers from the Gurazala constituency in Palnadu district met former Chief Minister and party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy at the party’s central office on Tuesday (March 31).

During the meeting, Akuri Venkata Reddy, a YSRCP leader from Ramapuram village in Dachepalli mandal, narrated a recent murder attempt on him, alleging that he was brutally attacked by members of the TDP, leaving him severely injured.

Family members of YSRCP activists Kakumanu Bhavana Rishi and Bhuvanagiri Srinivasa Rao, belonging to the Padmashali BC community from Charlagudipadu village, also met Jagan Mohan Reddy. They alleged that the two were murdered by TDP supporters in February. The bereaved families expressed deep anguish, stating that their relatives were targeted solely for their active involvement in the YSRCP, leaving their families devastated.

Responding to their concerns, Mr. Jagan assured that the party stands firmly with the victims and that no cadre should feel intimidated or insecure in the face of such incidents. He stated that the YSRCP would strongly resist political violence and ensure that justice is delivered.

He further announced that the party’s legal cell would extend all necessary support to the victims’ families. Criticising the police, he alleged that their functioning was contributing to a climate of lawlessness.

Former Gurazala MLA Kasu Mahesh Reddy, Akuri Venkata Reddy, family members of the victims, and local YSRCP leaders Kommineni Venkateswarlu, Vemula Chalamayya, Janjanam Tirupati Rao, Saidayya, Chennareddy and Sheikh Imam Vali were present at the meeting.
