Anganwadi workers called off their protest on Tuesday evening after the government reportedly promised to fulfill their demands, including the release of gratuity of about ₹183 crore to retired anganwadi workers.

A joint meeting was held with the anganwadi workers on Tuesday along with Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar and the Chief Minister’s Personal Secretary Anjum Parvez, Principal Secretaries of the School Education and Literacy and the Women and Child Development Departments.
