A man has been arrested for allegedly molesting a popular Malayalam film actor at Kaloor in Kochi, the police said on Saturday (March 21, 2026).
The accused has been identified as Vibin Roy, a native of Kathrikadavu.
According to the police, the incident occurred on Thursday evening when the actor was walking towards a shop on Stadium Link Road in Kaloor.
The police said Mr. Roy allegedly followed the actor and molested her before fleeing the spot.
The actor later approached the police with a complaint, following which a case was registered at the Palarivattom police station.
The police said the accused had been repeatedly sending messages to the actor on a social media platform, and she had blocked him. Agitated over this, he allegedly followed the actor and misbehaved with her.
Following a probe, the police identified the accused and arrested him on Friday night.
He will be produced before a court soon as part of remand proceedings.
