The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami on Friday (March20, 2075) said the process of seat sharing among constituents of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), headed by his party, would be finalised in four days.

Expressing hope that the process was going on smoothly and everything including the identification of seats would be finalised shortly, Mr. Palaniswami told reporters in New Delhi that the BJP’s point person for the State and Union Minister Piyush Goyal would come to Chennai on Saturday (March 21, 2026) in this regard.

As for his meeting with Union Minister for Home Affairs Amit Shah at his residence on Thursday night (March 19, 2026), Mr. Palaniswami said he discussed the political situation in Tamil Nadu with Mr. Shah.

Making it clear the composition of the alliance had been more or less firmed up, he said his party’s manifesto would be released in a week.

He reiterated his denial that talks were held with the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam led by actor Vijay. He added even the TVK chief had also rebutted the talk.

As regards the objectionable comment made by his colleague C.Ve. Shanmugam about a woman actor, the AIADMK leader said that as Mr. Shanmugam had expressed an apology, it would not be appropriate to say anything further about the matter.

Before leaving for New Delhi, the Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK) general secretary T.T.V. Dhinakaran told reporters that his visit was fixed four days ago and he would meet leaders of the NDA.
