The Cantonment Police in Thiruvananthapuram have taken three youths into custody after they reportedly attempted to drive a car into the premises of the Thiruvananthapuram Secretariat building. The incident occurred at 7.45 p.m. on Friday (March 13, 2026).

It is suspected that the youths drove the car under the influence of alcohol. They claimed they were using Google Maps to navigate and inadvertently drove into the Secretariat building through the Cantonment Gate. The driver also pulled up the vehicle when security personnel asked him to stop.

All three are natives of Kottayam.

The youths were on their way to Kazhakuttam, according to the police.
