The land transfer and project commencement ceremony for the Sandbox’s mini-tech park, to be developed at the Government Cyberpark in Kozhikode, will be held on Monday (March 9, 2026) at 5 p.m.

Santhosh Babu, managing director, Kerala State IT Infrastructure Limited, will be the chief guest at the event, which will be held at Sahya Hall at Cyberpark. The tech park, the first private co-developer in the Government Cyberpark, is planned as a Grade A technology workspace covering approximately 30,000 square feet.

The tech park aims to provide modern office facilities for technology companies, global enterprises, start-ups, and global capability centres. Designed as an eco-friendly, energy-efficient, LEED-certified green building, the project aims to create a work environment equipped with modern amenities and generate new job opportunities.

The ground floor of the park will feature a co-working space with a café-cum-lounge, breakout areas, phone booth pods, and founder-mentor cabins. It will also house a compact incubation bay reserved for early-stage entrepreneurs.

The project aims to transform Kozhikode and the Malabar region into a robust technology-business hub, fostering participation and investment from NRI entrepreneurs. The Sandbox team has presented the roadmap outlining the project’s long-term vision to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

Additionally, officials said that Sandbox Workspaces is preparing plans for further technology infrastructure and workspace developments in other key areas.
